LotSync is a Valdris product. In this policy, “LotSync,” “we,” and “us” refer to the team operating the LotSync website and service. Our Privacy Officer can be reached at support@lotsync.ca or (587) 487-7719.
When you contact us, we may collect your name, dealership, city or province, email address, phone number, team size, industry category, and the information you include in your enquiry. This website does not collect payment-card information.
When a dealership uses LotSync, we may process account and contact information, inventory information supplied or authorized by the dealership, posting and session activity, lead ownership and status information, support communications, and technical records needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
LotSync - Marketplace Console is the Chrome extension dealership staff use to prepare and post vehicle listings to Facebook Marketplace. It stores the settings and in-progress session information needed to provide the service on the user's device. LotSync does not sell this information or use it for unrelated advertising.
The extension requests browser permissions for storage, scripting, tabs, the side panel, cookies, alarms, Facebook Marketplace, LotSync services, and the dealership website authorized during setup. These permissions are used only to authenticate the user, obtain authorized inventory information, prepare listings, display and manage the posting queue, preserve session progress, and sign the user out.
Depending on the workflow authorized by the dealership, staff can review prepared listings before publishing or enable automatic publishing. LotSync does not publish inventory outside an authorized dealership workflow, and each dealership only sees and posts its own inventory.
We use information to respond to enquiries, evaluate fit, set up and provide the service, support users, maintain account and activity records, secure and improve LotSync, meet legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. We do not sell personal information. We do not add contact-form enquiries to marketing lists without consent.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregated, privacy-focused visit and performance information. Google Analytics storage is denied by default and is enabled only if you select “Accept analytics.” While storage is denied, Google may receive limited cookieless measurement signals. If you accept, Google Analytics may use cookies and receive technical information such as device, browser, approximate location, and interaction data. We do not use this website analytics data for unrelated advertising or sell it.
If you visit an industry page, that category may be kept in session storage for the current browser session and included with an enquiry. The contact form may suggest your city and province from approximate location information available through Cloudflare. You can change the suggestion before submitting.
Your analytics choice is stored in your browser. You can change or withdraw it at any time using “Analytics preferences” in the website footer. Advertising storage remains disabled regardless of your analytics choice. Necessary Cloudflare security or network features may use essential cookies.
We use service providers only where needed to run the website and service. These include Cloudflare for hosting, delivery, security, geolocation suggestions, analytics, and contact-form email delivery; Google Analytics for website analytics; Google Fonts for website typography; and service providers used for business communications and technical operations.
Google receives technical request information, including an IP address and browser details, when it provides analytics and font files. Cloudflare, Google, and other providers may process information outside Canada. Information processed in another country may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or national-security authorities under that country’s laws.
For information about our policies regarding service providers outside Canada, contact the Privacy Officer using the details above.
We may share information with authorized dealership administrators, service providers working on our behalf, professional advisers, or authorities when required by law. When a dealership directs LotSync to work with a third-party platform or inventory source, relevant information is also handled under that third party’s terms and privacy practices. We do not disclose personal information for unrelated purposes without consent unless permitted or required by law.
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the service, maintain necessary business and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or allow it to expire from backups on our regular schedule.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Dealership customers are responsible for managing their authorized users, devices, and third-party accounts.
You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, or request deletion where we are not required to retain the information. You may also ask how information has been used or disclosed and challenge our compliance with this policy.
Send a request to support@lotsync.ca. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. If a dealership controls the information, we may direct your request to that dealership.
LotSync is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.
We may update this policy as the website, service, or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available on this page.
